Creating EZ Embossed Text with Paint Shop Pro
This one is almost rediculously easy, but you see it everywhere. I've seen it used for corporate logos, on T.V. ads and in magazines.
Open a new graphic. I started with a 200x100 file at 16.7 million colors. I used white as the background because this effect looks best on white. This doesn't mean you shouldn't try it out with a different setting, though.
Use the text tool to enter some text. I used the Enviro font at Bold and 36 points. DON'T de-select the text!
Under "IMAGE">>"SPECIAL EFFECTS">>"ADD DROP SHADOW" I used the following settings.
Color: Black
Opacity: 100
Blur: 20
Vertical Offset: 3
Horizontal Offset: 3
You may want to change these depending on the size of the font, and you should end up with something like this:
